Buffalo Systems have been making this stuff in Sheffield since 1979, when Hamish Hamilton decided the answer to being cold and wet was one layer rather than four. The Double P system is Pertex on the outside and pile on the inside, worn next to the skin with nothing underneath, so sweat gets pushed out instead of sitting against you. The Belay is the jacket version, windproof to 50mph and good from -5 to +12, still cut and stitched by hand in small batches.
