FJALLRAVEN SAMLAREN

Samlaren means the gatherer. In 1964 Åke Nordin kept the offcuts that did not make it into the Thermo Tent and turned them into the first Greenland Jacket, and Samlaren carries that on: whatever fabric is left at the end of production gets made into a small run of jackets, overshirts, caps, bucket hats and a reversible vest. This time around it is a hundred percent cotton ripstop, in Mountain Blue and Field Orange. When it is gone it is gone, because Fjällräven cannot make more.

Brownie's Breaking Bad

Brownie's Barge, A Brew & A Bit Of Ralph

It’s been a while since Nigel and John Wilcock, better known to pretty much everyone as Brownie, had a proper catch-up, so naturally we decided the best place to rectify this was on a barge. Not ju...

Nige's Adidas Shoeseum

Some people collect stamps. Some collect records. Some collect Adidas. Over the years, there’s been a fair few pairs through the doors at Oi Polloi. Some worn into the ground, some kept in suspicio...
