Put Nigel in a room with someone who’s interested in clothes and you’ll probably want to cancel whatever you had planned for the afternoon.

Our top man recently caught up with Proper Mag’s Mark Smith to talk about bringing Oi Polloi back. There’s a bit of looking backwards, plenty of looking forwards, and the occasional conversational detour. You know how these things go.

From getting back behind a rail at Manchester’s Campfield Market to making own-label pieces and catching up with favourite brands, Nige’s been busy getting things moving again. There’s a new team on board, too.

“They’re passionate, focused and considered. So I couldn’t really be in a better position.”

The conversation also gets into the things that have always made Oi Polloi tick: music, trainers, coats and an interest in details that some might consider excessive. We’d call it perfectly reasonable.

It’s good to be back. Even better to have things to get excited about.
