HESTRA

Martin Magnusson started making gloves for lumberjacks in Hestra, Småland in 1936, and a slalom slope opened on nearby Isaberg the year after, which is how a farmer's glove company ended up on the ski side of things. Four generations on, the family still run it and source every hide themselves. We keep the town end of the range: deerskin with Primaloft, the Diorit and the John, the Fält Guide for people who actually go outside, and a biathlon trigger glove for people who want to look like they do.

Brownie's Breaking Bad

Brownie's Barge, A Brew & A Bit Of Ralph

It’s been a while since Nigel and John Wilcock, better known to pretty much everyone as Brownie, had a proper catch-up, so naturally we decided the best place to rectify this was on a barge. Not ju...

Nige's Adidas Shoeseum

Some people collect stamps. Some collect records. Some collect Adidas. Over the years, there’s been a fair few pairs through the doors at Oi Polloi. Some worn into the ground, some kept in suspicio...
