ROTOTO

RoToTo are made in Nara, where Japan's sock industry started in 1910 after a local came back from America with a knitting machine. Daisuke Ishii set the label up in 2014 to use the old low-gauge machines still around the prefecture, the ones that need hands on them, with reinforced heels and toes and a left and a right to every pair. Rugby stripes, chunky pile boot socks, gingham jacquards, and the Bulky Watch Cap beanie for the other end. Organic cotton, merino or linen, depending on the sock.
