Mike Graham made the first of these in a garage in Ventura in 1982, having borrowed the diamond gusset from kung fu trousers and the webbing belt from a rucksack strap. Forty-odd years on, Gramicci have changed almost nothing. Organic cotton twill, elastic waist, cinch belt you can work one-handed, four pockets. Double navy, and still the original.
