28 wale is very fine corduroy, fine enough that from a few feet it reads as a plain shirt with a bit of a nap. Sunspel have it woven by a French mill that's been at it since 1828, then garment dye it so the colour has some depth. Anthracite is a dark grey. Works under a jacket, works with denim.
