Swany of Kagawa, Japan have been at this since 1937, and the Cover is one of their odder ideas. It is a down filled mitten with an open palm, so your fingers push straight through when you need them and stay tucked in when you do not. The cotton and nylon outer rather than the usual slippery nylon makes it look like something you would wear off the hill as well as on it.
