Desert Boot
Beeswax
- Beeswax leather upper
- Breathable leather lining
- Two eyelet lace fastening
- Pebble crepe rubber outsole
Nathan Clark spotted the original in Cairo during the war, where off-duty British officers were having crepe-soled suede boots made up in the bazaar. He brought the idea back to Somerset and Clarks launched it at the Chicago shoe fair in 1950. Two eyelets, leather lining, crepe rubber underneath, and beeswax leather that darkens as you wear it. Not much has changed, and rightly so.
