Jackman is Tanabe Meriyasu, founded in Fukui in 1949, who made the first Japanese baseball stirrup socks the following year and were kitting out the Japanese Olympic team by 1964. The waffle here is knitted on a double jacquard machine and the cloth is relaxed before it is cut, so it holds its shape through washing. Deliberately long at the crown. Butter Scotch.
