Big John started out as Maruo Clothing in Kojima, Okayama, and in 1965 made the first jeans ever produced in Japan. The M102SL is a 60s-style straight leg in 12oz selvedge, woven on old Toyoda shuttle looms from a mix of American and Australian cotton. Slub yarn, rope-dyed pure indigo, thick no. 8 thread. Cut roomy enough to turn up properly.
