Ray-Ban made the aviator for American military pilots, and the Old Aviator is the version that leans back into those original proportions rather than the slimmed down ones. Arista is Ray-Ban's name for the warm yellow gold, and the green lenses are the pairing that has been on the shape since the start. At 58mm it covers a fair amount of face, which is rather the point.
