Slub yarn is deliberately uneven, so the surface has bumps and shifts in it rather than being uniform. RoToTo knit these on old machinery in Nara from 93% organic cotton, with just enough nylon and polyurethane to hold them up. Mid-calf, ecru, soft from the first wear. The sort of sock you notice only because it isn't annoying you.
