Goldwin started in 1950 in Toyama as a knitting mill, making socks and belly warmers, and only moved into sportswear two years later. They have run The North Face in Japan since 1978, which is why Japanese TNF looks nothing like the American version. These are the outdoor trousers, Cordura nylon with a bit of stretch, a gusseted inseam so you can step up onto things, and a shirred hem to keep them off your boots.
