NOSTALGIA FOR THE TUCK SHOP
Anyone who's been on a naff camping holiday with their parents will no doubt have fond memories of the tuck shop.
For the more wadded members in the audience, a tuck shop was a majestic zone stuffed to the gills with all manner of tantalising and strange confectionery treats, from the illusive Mars Planets to the dearly-missed Cadbury's Dream (whatever cruel suit decided to discontinue Dreams, we wish you nowt but the worst).
A beacon to all the children seeking to break the gastronomical drudgery of Wayfayrer ready meals and the tedium of low-budget holiday-making, these institutions, and the flavourful bliss they provided, is something we here at Oi Polloi sorely miss as we plod further and further into middle-age.
What have tuck shops got to do with the outfit above? Well... those stripes look a bit like strawberry pencils don't they?
