Scientists may work around the clock conjuring up fancy futuristic fabrics, but when it comes to winter warmth, you still can’t beat an old fashioned wool jumper. With that in mind, here’s some pictures of people wearing ‘em.

And before we get anyone whinging, we know that some of these people might be in ‘cardigans’ as opposed to ‘jumpers’, but ‘Pictures of People Wearing Knitwear’ sounded a bit daft.

Will 2017 be the year that the word ‘knitwear’ - along with ‘shirting’ - is finally eradicated from the English language? Let’s hope so. Anyway, here you go...
