PATAGONIA

Yvon Chouinard started Patagonia in Ventura, California in 1973, having spent the previous fifteen years forging climbing gear in a tin shed. Fleece, shells, insulation and the pile jacket that has kept people warm since 1985, made with as little damage as they can manage and repaired when it goes. One per cent of sales goes to environmental causes. The rest goes on fleece.

A Few Things We Found Down the Back of the Thomas Street Sofa

There’s nothing quite like a rummage through the archives. Particularly when the archives consist of a shoebox full of old Polaroids and a slightly questionable memory. We’ve been digging through ...

Brownie's Breaking Bad

Last time we saw Nigel and John Wilcock, better known to his mates as Brownie, they were having a lovely civilised morning on a barge. There was a fire, a brew, a bit of Ralph Lauren and enough cha...

Brownie's Barge, A Brew & A Bit Of Ralph

It’s been a while since Nigel and John Wilcock, better known to pretty much everyone as Brownie, had a proper catch-up, so naturally we decided the best place to rectify this was on a barge. Not ju...
