Barbour's Classic Tartan dates from 1998, drawn up by Kinloch Anderson on the Ayrshire District sett, because the Barbour name first turns up in Scotland in thirteenth century Ayrshire. This is the Shadow version, the same sett in a quieter palette, quilted like the Liddesdale, the Barbour jacket first made for riding. Two big pockets on the front, slip pockets inside and a padded zip compartment for tech. The pin badge comes off if you would rather it did.
