The Detroit Jacket and Dearborn Canvas both take their names from Michigan, which is where Hamilton Carhartt started in 1889 with two sewing machines and five employees making bib overalls for railroad workers. This is the winter one: 12oz canvas, blanket lining through the body, nylon in the sleeves so it goes on over a jumper. Corduroy collar, two-way zip, adjustable cuffs and band. Rigid, so it breaks in.
