Swany of Kagawa, Japan have been at this since 1937, and the Cover is one of their odder ideas. It is a down filled mitten with an open palm, so your fingers push straight through when you need them and stay tucked in when you do not. Navy keeps it quiet, which is useful given the thing is fundamentally a mitten with a hole in it.
