Forty three litres of lightly waxed cotton twill, which shrugs off rain and scuffs and still counts as carry-on. Filson have put the solid brass YKK zip under a snap storm flap, bound the seams in cotton and made the handles and removable shoulder strap in leather. They call it their bestselling duffle, and the Rugged Twill version has been going for the best part of thirty five years.
