Abisko comes from the Northern Sami Åbeskovvu, the forest by the big lake, and the national park in Swedish Lapland dates from 1909. Fjällräven's Abisko Hike Shirt is a summer trekking shirt, a hundred and fifty grams of polyamide that wicks, feels cool and packs small. There is a vent across the yoke to let heat out, a zipped chest pocket, and buttons on the sleeves to hold them rolled up. Navy and white check, which looks as right in a beer garden as it does on a fell.
