  • PERTEX SHIELDAIR nanofiber membrane laminate
  • Air permeable at 0.2cc/cm2/s, which a standard waterproof membrane is not
  • Water resistance 10,000mm
  • Moisture vapour transmission of 10,000 to 20,000 g/m2/24h
  • Zip running from the underarm to the hem on three sliders
  • Musasabi cut for arm lift
  • Mesh lined front pockets that double as vents
  • Extendable mesh pocket for drying wet kit

The point of PERTEX SHIELD AIR is that it genuinely passes air, at 0.2cc per square centimetre per second, which a normal waterproof membrane does not do at all. So it sheds heat while you are still moving rather than turning into a greenhouse. The zip runs from the underarm all the way to the hem on three sliders, so you can vent it in stages without stopping to take it off.
