Small, and full of pockets. Gramicci's Multi Side Bag holds four and a half litres in 210D Cordura, with a zipped pocket on the front and several more inside, and the strap adjusts for the shoulder or it carries by hand. Mike Graham was making packs for Chouinard before Gramicci made a single pair of trousers.
