A loopwheel machine knits slowly on an old analogue frame, which is why the jersey comes out even and why so few places still do it. Jackman have been making knitted goods in Fukui since 1949 and this is the result: an 11.5oz tube of American cotton, crisp in the hand, with stitches tight enough that it will not go out of shape after a winter of washing. The rib is tight, so it stands away from you like a sweatshirt rather than clinging like a tee.
