Himo is Japanese for cord, and the cord here runs through the hem so you can pull the shape in rather than let a long sleeve tee hang. Jackman have built it from polyester spun to feel like cotton, which means it resists creasing, blocks UV and does not go see-through. Flat seams throughout, and made in Fukui, where the company has been going since 1949.
