This is the wool crew with a zipped funnel neck on top, which is the version that earns its keep between October and March. Lacoste have knitted it at 7 gauge in carded wool, the rougher and airier sort, with deep ribbed bands at the cuffs and hem. Zip it up against the wind or leave it open over a collar.
