Paraboot took their name from Pará, the Amazon port that shipped the latex they were making rubber soles from back in the twenties. The Avoriaz comes out of their mountain approach boots from the sixties and seventies, Norwegian stitched by hand and sat on a natural rubber sole. Nubuck upper, leather lining, made in France. It'll outlast almost everything else you own.
