Aged Wine Heather is a dark red with grey run through the yarn, so it reads as claret rather than anything bright. Ralph Lauren knit this one chunky in alpaca, which is warmer than sheep's wool for the weight and a good deal softer at the neck. Plain crew, embroidered Pony at the chest, and that is all there is to it. The heathered yarn hides a lot, which is the practical argument for it.
