Roughout leather is full grain turned inside out, so you get the fuzzy side facing the weather and the tight side against your foot. Red Wing tan it themselves at S.B. Foot in Minnesota and build the boot on the No. 23 last, which has been going since the 1950s and leaves room in the forefoot. Goodyear welted, Puritan triple-stitched, Traction Tred wedge. Made in USA.
