Cotton with enough wool through it to take the edge off a cold morning, knitted as a jersey stitch so it has give rather than sitting stiff. The snapped waist pockets are the surplus detail, lifted off military knitwear. RRL is named after Ralph Lauren's Double RL Ranch in Colorado and has been running as its own line since 1993. Full zip, ribbed at the collar, cuffs and hem.
