RRL is Ralph Lauren's Americana line, started in 1993 and named after the Colorado ranch he and Ricky own. This one is a camp shirt in heavyweight cotton twill rather than the usual summer stuff, so it holds a shape and works as a light layer well into autumn. The plaid is yarn dyed, meaning the colour goes through the thread rather than sitting on the surface, then brushed to take the edge off. Straight hem and two buttoned chest pockets, meant to be worn out rather than tucked.
