The chest pockets are oversized, which is what gives it away as an officer's shirt: they are sized for a map and a notebook, lifted off 1940s surplus. RRL have cut it in a medium weight twill with a slub through the yarn, then washed it hard, so it turns up softened and slightly uneven in colour. Corozo buttons, which are nut rather than plastic and take the dye the way the cloth does. Faded Tan is the colour a khaki shirt goes after a war, minus the war.
