Some people collect stamps. Some collect records. Some collect Adidas.
Over the years, there’s been a fair few pairs through the doors at Oi Polloi. Some worn into the ground, some kept in suspiciously good nick, and a few that have become proper landmarks in the story of what we do.
So, naturally, we thought it was about time we had a look back.
Welcome to Nige’s Adidas Shoeseum — a glimpse inside the collection, featuring a few old favourites and some of the shoes we’ve had the pleasure of working on with Adidas over the years.
There’s the Salford Sage, for starters. A proper Oi Polloi take on an Adidas classic, inspired by our surroundings and made for getting out and about rather than sitting in a glass cabinet. Then there’s the Ardwick, another chapter in our ongoing love affair with Adidas and terrace footwear.
They’re shoes with a bit of history behind them. But more importantly, they’re shoes that still look good now.
Looking back at these pairs is a decent reminder of how far things have come — and how much fun we’ve had along the way. We’ve always liked taking something familiar, giving it a bit of our own flavour and seeing where it ends up.
And as for what comes next?
We’re not saying anything just yet. But, good things come to those who wait. So, have a look through the collection for now - just don't ask Nige how many pairs he's actually got, We've tried.
