Eight wale is wide corduroy, the sort with proper ridges, and Frizmworks have pigment dyed it so the colour sits on the surface and rubs off the high points as you wear it. It is heavy and dense enough to work as a light jacket rather than only a shirt, with the drop shoulder cut into the pattern instead of just made bigger. Purple goes dusty at the ridges first, which is when it starts looking right.
