Novesta date themselves to 1939, and their home town of Partizánske in Slovakia was built around a Bata shoe factory. This Star Master has a hemp upper, a cotton lining and a vulcanised sole of natural rubber, pressed on without glue. The insole lifts out and is recycled rubber under a canvas top.
